Special interest groups play an important role in the democratic process and help make the system stronger.

Directions (For Viewers):

Each debate will take place over FOUR (4) rounds including an introduction to present the topic and their position, a one minute presentation of their key facts and position, a 45 second rebuttal to their opponents position and to further defend and explain their position and a 30 second closing statement.

After each round of the debate, viewers will vote on who won the round and at the end of the debate viewers will decide who won the overall debate topic.

(This allows for a clear breakdown of how various presentation methods and arguments are perceived and their impact on the overall thinking of the viewer.)

You may only vote once per round and once for the overall debate topic winner.

Directions (For Debaters):

When provided with your debate topic, you will be given a deadline to submit your "Introduction" and "Present Your Case" videos by sharing a video file or a link to your video on YouTube.

(Any videos submitted after the deadline will NOT be uploaded and the debater will forfeit that round(s).)

After the first deadline, submitted videos are made available for debaters to view and a new deadline will be given to submit your Rebuttal and Closing videos by sharing a video file or a link to your video on YouTube.

(Any videos submitted after the deadline will NOT be uploaded and the debater will forfeit that round(s).)

Once all submitted videos have been posted voting will open for up to ONE (1) week and a winner will be announced.
